How do crystals work?
Crystals are beautiful additions to the home as they emit wonderful healing energy. Unique to each individual, crystals can be used for meditating, to keep in your pocket and hold on tight to get you through a difficult time or to simply elevate a space.
At mala we believe that crystals are to be used for spiritual and mental wellbeing. They complement, rather than replace existing therapy or medicinal methods.
How do I know what crystal to choose?
We are strong believers that you will be drawn to the right crystal for you, as they are unique to the individual and environment. Really resonating the idea that 'the right crystal calls for you' when you listen to your intuition. If you are not sure, we provide crystal healing properties alongside each crystal.
How do I cleanse my crystals?
Cleansing crystals is essential to reset the energy and get your crystal ready to work for you. There are a number of ways to cleanse crystals. At mala, we recommend to cleanse your crystals in nature, either under the moon, on the fresh ground or in the sunlight (not for longer than a few hours). Don’t forget to set your intention after each cleanse.
Where do you source your crystals?
The crystals we sell are sourced from a small handful of suppliers from all over the world. As we cannot physically visit the location of where each crystal comes from it is important to us that we only have a small group of suppliers who we completely trust and have a great relationship with. We do everything we possibly can to ensure that our crystals are ethically sourced.
How do I care for my candle?
- First burn, allow the melt pool to reach all sides of the candle.
- If you decide to leave the crystals in the candle, monitor the crystals so they don't cover the wick, which can cause an uneven burn or put the candle out.
- If you decide to pull the crystals out, please keep in mind that they will be hot, so we recommend to remove them with tweezers.
- Avoid burning the candle for more than 3 hours at a time.
- Please trim the wick to a 1/4 inch prior to each burn - this is essential to avoid mushrooming / sooting / high flame.
When will my order ship?
Currently our postie pick up days are Tuesday and Friday. The cut off for packing prior to each pick up, is usually midday the day prior, but can vary, so please just use this as a guide only.
What if I need to post something urgent?
We are always so happy to help where we can. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any special requests.
What if my parcel is delayed?
Your first point of contact should be Australia Post as once it has shipped it is out of our control. However, please feel free to contact us so we can also chase them on our end. COVID lockdowns and Christmas periods usually result in significant delays so please factor this in prior to purchasing with us.
Why has the item I had in my cart say that it is sold out?
Our website platform unfortunately does not cater for cart holds. Which means if someone has checked the item out before you, you will not be able to purchase even though it was in your cart.
On the very rare occasion, it will sell an item which has already sold if both people had the item in the cart at the same time. We will notify you immediately if this has happened and refund the person who checked out last.
I ordered two seperate orders, can I get a refund on shipping on one order?
Absolutely, as long as we haven’t already shipped the first order. Please notify us with your order number and we will refund the shipping on one of your orders.
Where are you located?
We are located in Sydney. We are moving into a warehouse space in Alexandria once lockdown restrictions ease but will not have a shop front.
